Bob Sullivan

Treasurer

Bob enlisted in the Navy in 1977 and attended basic training at Recruit Training Command, Orlando, FL. After serving as Leading Chief in CA Division on USS TICONDEROGA (CG-47), Bob received his commission through the Limited Duty Officer program in the Surface Electronics designation. He retired from active Naval service in 2012. He earned his Bachelor of Science from Excelsior College.
 

His other sea duty assignments include USS PHARRIS (FF-1094); USS LEFTWICH (DD-984); EMO, USS VALLEY FORGE (CG-50); N61, COMMANDER CARRIER GROUP TWO; EMO, USS VELLA GULF (CG-72); CSMO, USS THEODORE ROOSEVELT (CVN-71); and CSO, USS GEORGE H. W. BUSH (CVN-77).

 

Shore duty assignments include: Instructor/Training Dept LPO/LCPO Naval and Marine Corps Reserve Center, New Haven, CT; Combat Systems and Senior Safety Survey Team Leader, Naval Safety Center Norfolk , VA; N6, Fleet Information Warfare Center Norfolk, VA; Officer in-Charge of Program Mangers Representative Norfolk, VA; Commanding Officer, Center for Surface Combat Systems Unit Great Lakes and Executive Officer Naval Station Great Lakes. He is published in five Fathomand 13 Ship’s Safety Bulletin articles.

 

 

Bob's personal decorations include the Legion of Merit, Meritorious Service Medal (3), Navy Commendation Medal (5), Navy Achievement Medal (3), Good Conduct Medal (5), Sea Service Deployment Ribbon (9) and various campaign and service citations.

 

 

Bob joined the Association in 2016 and currently resides in St. Augustine, Florida.
